The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

With the RPO, Beecham introduced many new works to British audiences, including music by Béla Bartók, Igor Stravinsky, and Richard Strauss. He was also a champion of British composers, such as William Walton and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Diaghilev's Ballets Russes
In addition to his work with symphony orchestras, Beecham also had a long and fruitful collaboration with Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. He conducted many of the company's most famous ballets, including Stravinsky's "The Firebird" and "Petrushka."
Beecham's conducting was essential to the success of these ballets. He had a deep understanding of music and dance, and he was able to bring both elements together in a way that was both thrilling and moving.
Later Years and Legacy
