About the Author and Illustrator

Joanna Ho is a Taiwanese American children's book author. She was born in Taiwan and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was four years old. She grew up in a small town in Ohio, where she often felt like an outsider because of her Chinese heritage. She wrote Eyes That Kiss in the Corners to help children feel proud of their Asian heritage and to celebrate their own unique beauty.

Dung Ho is a Vietnamese American illustrator. She was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States with her family when she was two years old. She grew up in a small town in California, where she often felt like an outsider because of her Vietnamese heritage. She illustrated Eyes That Kiss in the Corners to help children feel proud of their Asian heritage and to celebrate their own unique beauty.
